Texas Dem Candidate Bobby Pulido Faces Backlash Over Lewd 2010 Music Video

Bobby Pulido, the Democratic nominee for Texas’ 15th Congressional District, is under scrutiny following the resurfacing of a controversial 2010 music video. The video for his song “Dias de Ayer” featured Pulido portraying a character engaging in lewd behavior, including scenes of indecent exposure toward a woman seated next to him on a plane.

Controversial Past Content Fuels Questions

The music video prompted questions about Pulido’s sexuality in 2010, with the singer responding to rumors and discussing evolving social attitudes in an interview with the Mexican outlet El Norte. Pulido later addressed similar topics on social media, including posts that drew criticism for vulgar language and explicit references.

Resurfaced posts include a 2019 tweet on his personal X account stating, “Igualmente amigo, no homo,” and a 2015 post mocking former pharmaceutical CEO Martin Shkreli with an offensive phrase. After announcing his congressional bid in late 2025, Pulido faced renewed backlash over posts linked to explicit websites and a widely shared image suggesting he urinated on President Donald Trump’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star.

Campaign Context and Reactions

Pulido is challenging Republican incumbent Rep. Monica De La Cruz for the congressional seat. His past social media content, including vulgar verbal attacks against former President Trump, has become a point of contention during the campaign, with critics highlighting posts such as the Spanish translation of a profane insult directed at Trump.

The Democratic candidate has also drawn attention for describing himself as a “winter Texan” due to spending much of the year in Mexico. Fox News Digital has contacted Pulido for comment on these controversies.
