Chicago Mother Finds Alleged Squatters Naked in Her Apartment

A Chicago mother of three, Yanicee Miles, discovered three alleged squatters inside her first-floor apartment, including two naked strangers in her bed, around 8:30 a.m. Sunday. Miles, a 27-year-old nursing student, was already moving out after a prior break-in incident two weeks earlier, when someone reportedly kicked down her door.

Authorities were called to the scene and arrested a 46-year-old woman and a 63-year-old man on misdemeanor criminal trespass charges. Cellphone video obtained by FOX 32 shows Miles confronting the alleged intruders as police removed them from the apartment.

The building was boarded up immediately after the initial break-in to prevent further intrusions. However, questions remain about the apartment complex’s security measures. The property management company, Frontline Real Estate Partners, did not respond to requests for comment.

Miles described the experience as traumatic and expressed concern that similar incidents could be occurring elsewhere in the area. After the incident became public, Chicago comedian and actor Dyon Brooks, known as Mojo Brookzz, funded new furnishings for Miles’ new home, saying he wanted to support a mother trying to care for her children.

The Chicago Police Department has not issued a statement regarding the incident.
