Investigators Probe Suspicious Activity Near Nancy Guthrie’s Neighborhood

Investigators from the Nancy Guthrie task force are examining reports of suspicious activity near her neighborhood in the Catalina Foothills, Pima County Sheriff’s Department officials told Fox News Digital. The inquiry is part of the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, mother of “Today” co-host Savannah Guthrie.

A department spokesperson declined to confirm if the current investigation involves any specific individuals but stated that authorities are following up on all suspicious reports in the area. The investigation continues nearly seven weeks after Guthrie, 84, was believed abducted from her home on February 1.

Ongoing DNA Analysis and Video Evidence Collection

DNA analysis related to the case remains in progress. Authorities have obtained additional home security footage from Guthrie’s residence but have not identified new images of a suspect, whose identity remains unknown. Law enforcement is still attempting to recover more video evidence.

Reports that police had obtained surveillance footage from Guthrie’s last known Uber ride on the evening of January 31 have been downplayed. Officials confirmed no new video has been added to the investigation aside from earlier interviews with the Uber driver, who is not considered a suspect.

Timeline and Current Status of Investigation

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said authorities believe Guthrie was taken against her will. Her son-in-law dropped her off at home around 10 p.m. the night before, and a masked man appeared at her doorstep early the next morning. Guthrie’s pacemaker last synced with her Apple devices around 2:30 a.m., providing a potential timeframe for the abduction. Her watch and iPhone were later recovered inside the home.

No suspects have been arrested, and Guthrie’s whereabouts remain unknown. The FBI encourages anyone with information to call 1-800-CALL-FBI. A reward exceeding $1.2 million has been offered for tips contributing to the resolution of the case.
