The family of Nancy Guthrie, mother of “Today” co-host Savannah Guthrie, called for renewed public attention seven weeks after her disappearance in Arizona. Nancy Guthrie has been missing since the night of January 31, after a family dinner, and was reported missing on February 1 when she did not attend church.
Family Highlights Key Dates and Requests Public Help
In a statement issued on social media, the Guthrie family emphasized the importance of revisiting details such as camera footage, journal notes, text messages, and observations from late January and early February. They identified three critical timeframes: the evening of January 31, the early hours of February 1 when Guthrie was reported missing, and the late evening of January 11, a date linked to security camera footage showing a masked man near her home. The family urged anyone with information, no matter how minor it may seem, to come forward, stating, “No detail is too small. It may be the key.”
Investigation and Community Involvement
The FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department continue to investigate the suspected abduction. Authorities have reviewed reports of a masked intruder captured on doorbell cameras and examined ransom demands involving cryptocurrency. The FBI has described one ransom message as “highly sophisticated.” Investigators have also asked residents within a two-mile radius of the Catalina Foothills neighborhood to review and submit any unusual footage recorded from January 1 to February 2. A reward exceeding $1 million is being offered for information leading to Nancy Guthrie’s recovery.
The Guthrie family expressed deep gratitude for community support and emphasized their determination to find Nancy and bring her home, stating they “cannot be in peace until she is home” and thanking the public for continuing to pray and stay vigilant.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI or submit tips via the Pima County Sheriff’s Department or FBI online tip portals.
