A 25-year-old Venezuelan migrant has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of Sheridan Gorman, an 18-year-old Loyola University Chicago student. The incident occurred shortly after 1:30 a.m. Thursday near Chicago’s lakefront, close to the university campus.

Details of the Shooting and Arrest

According to the Chicago Police Department, Gorman was walking with friends when a masked gunman approached, pulled out a firearm, and shot Gorman in the head. She was pronounced dead at the scene, and no other injuries were reported. Police identified the suspect within minutes due to a distinct limp.
