A large group of teenagers caused chaos at a Chevron gas station convenience store on Folsom Boulevard in Sacramento on March 19, according to the Sacramento Police Department. Surveillance footage shows about 25 to 30 juveniles rushing into the store, knocking items off shelves, and throwing snacks and beverages across the aisles.
The lone employee on duty struggled to manage the incident as the youths vandalized the store and threw candy and chips at him. Store manager Shailesh Chand described the situation as increasingly aggressive and noted that similar disruptions have required multiple repairs to the store’s front door in recent months. He said the business is already facing losses amid fluctuating gas prices.
Police responded days later after the store reported theft of merchandise following the incident. A patrol officer filed a robbery report, and the case remains in the early stages of investigation. Authorities noted the group may be linked to other disturbances reported that same night but had initially not responded due to the absence of a formal report.
Chand urged anyone who recognizes the individuals in the surveillance video to contact authorities to assist with identifying those responsible. The Sacramento Police Department continues its investigation into the incident.
